Nazar Boncuk or Turkish evil eye bead......The nazar boncuk was born of the age-old (evil eye) superstition that one person can cast a spell on another. To prevent this, for millenia Turkish artisans have created blue glass eyes that look straight back at the spell-caster as if to say ( I see what you are doing and you cant get away with it).. Everyone should have one or more!!!!

Turkish ceramics have been hand crafted in Kutahya for centuries by artisans who have learned their trade from their fathers and are expected to pass their knowledge down the generations. Today, it is as family based as it was in the beginning all those centuries ago. We do our buying personally from some of the families that we have known for more than 13 years. above, you can see some of our new model heat mat tulip trivets and coasters..

We have the largest range at the lowest prices in Australia. All of our plates are individually hand made and hand painted with name of the artisans written, in their own hand, on the back. Also on the back you will find a hanging string attached to the plate making it ready to hang. Above you can see some of our more special plates in 33 cm bowl shapes.
Our fine Nimet plates come in 10, 18, 25 and 30 cm sizes. Also available in bows.. Decorated with tulip motives, they are food safe making them practical as well as beautiful. Full colour and size range is available. Tottally hand made and hand painted.
This range is called FIRUZE meaning blue. This is a style and colour that was very popular in the 16 th century Ottoman Turkish Empire. Some of the surviving samples can still be seen today in The Topkapi Palace museum in Istanbul. Stocks Limited....
